Frequently Asked Questions
What we need to price accurately:
Site address (Toronto/GTA or Houston)
Drawings or photos
Bid due date and target install window
Approx. scope size (sq ft or elevation count)
Access constraints (occupied site, hours, lift/scaffold)
Spec requirements (color references, matching, closeout needs)
If details are unclear, assumptions will be confirmed in writing to keep approvals smooth and change orders minimal.
Commercial pricing is scope-based, not unit-priced. Pricing is developed after reviewing:
- Total square footage and elevation count
- Type of stain and color approach
- Access requirements (lifts, scaffolding, staging)
- Site conditions and protection needs
- Scheduling constraints and work windows
Once the scope is confirmed, we provide a clear proposal with defined inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions to avoid surprises during execution.
Yes. We regularly plan around occupied and active sites, including:
- Protection of adjacent finishes, windows, and landscaping
- Work scheduled around business hours and tenant restrictions
- Daily cleanup and clear communication to minimize disruption
Yes. We always complete on-site sampling using different colors and stain types to confirm appearance, variation, and suitability before full application.
Staining works on bare, unsealed brick, concrete or stone. If your brick is painted or sealed, the surface must be stripped or professionally assessed first. We do also have alternatives to stain that can work on those surfaces.
Overspray control is built into our process. Each project includes:
- Masking and protection for windows, trim, and adjacent finishes
- Protection for landscaping and hardscapes where required
- Controlled staging and daily cleanup standards
- Final walkthrough and Fieldwork Checklist to minimize callbacks
Timelines vary based on scope, access, approvals, and weather. Before execution, we confirm:
- Target start window
- Estimated duration
- Sequencing with other trades or site restrictions
If a firm completion date is required, please note it in the proposal request, and we’ll let you know the feasibility.
15-year warranty against peeling and flaking. Full terms are outlined in the proposal and warranty documentation.
